1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. They help us remember your preferences, keep you logged in securely, and show you relevant content and advertisements across Adrien Marsden's applications (including WifeyLifey, Stitch, Zeak, Podka, DinkDink!, and related websites).

2. Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies for three main purposes:

  • Necessary: To make our applications work securely (e.g., authentication, session management, protecting against CSRF attacks).
  • Analytics: To understand how users interact with our tools, matchmaking systems, fitness trackers, and audio platforms.
  • Advertising: To serve ads on our ad-supported platforms and make them more relevant to your interests.

3. Service Providers and Third-Party Cookies

Because our apps are built on robust cloud infrastructure, we use the following third-party services which may place cookies:

  • Firebase Authentication: We use these cookies to keep you logged into your accounts and protect your data from unauthorized access across our suite. These are considered strictly necessary.
  • Stripe (Financial Transactions): If you participate in our monetization programs, our payment processor, Stripe, utilizes strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to facilitate secure onboarding, process payouts, and prevent fraud.
  • Google Analytics: We use these cookies to track performance, usage patterns, and error reporting. This helps us see which features are functioning smoothly globally.
  • Google AdSense: We use these cookies to show advertisements on qualifying platforms. Google and its partners use these cookies to serve ads based on your visits to our sites and other websites on the internet.

3b. Google Consent Mode v2

In compliance with Google’s updated policies (effective March 2024), we implement Google Consent Mode v2. This controls how Google tags behave based on your cookie preferences. The following consent signals are managed:

  • analytics_storage: Controls whether Google Analytics may store cookies on your device.
  • ad_storage: Controls whether advertising cookies may be stored on your device.
  • ad_user_data: Controls whether your data may be sent to Google for advertising purposes.
  • ad_personalization: Controls whether personalized advertising is enabled.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, all four signals default to “denied” until you make a choice via our consent banner. For users in other regions (including the United States), signals default to “granted” and you may opt out at any time (see Section 6 below).

4. Third-Party Advertising Disclosures

As required by Google's terms, please note that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your browser, or using web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on our applicable websites. You can learn more about how Google uses data here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

5. International Data Transfers

Information collected via cookies is stored and processed on our servers, primarily in the United States. By consenting to non-essential cookies (Analytics and Advertising), you acknowledge and agree to this international transfer of data.

6. Managing Your Preferences

You have total control over your cookies:

  • The Consent Banner: When you first visit applicable sites, you can choose which cookies to allow. To reset your preference, clear your browser’s local storage for this site.
  • Ad Settings: You can opt out of personalized advertising across all Google services by visiting: https://www.google.com/settings/ads
  • Browser Settings: You can configure your browser to block all cookies, though this will severely limit functionality across all Adrien Marsden applications.

7. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident or reside in another US state with consumer privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We use analytics and advertising cookies that may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under these laws.

Click the button below to opt out. This will disable analytics and advertising cookies for this browser.
